LYNCHBURG, Va. – William & Mary women's tennis wrapped up play at the Liberty Invitational with another strong singles performance. After winning 10 of 14 matches on day one, the Tribe took five of its eight contests from the host Flames on Sunday.
 
In total, the Tribe won 15 of its 22 singles matches during the two-day event, a 68.1 winning %. Individually, six W&M players posted at least two singles wins at the Invite.
 
Senior Mila Saric, who is ranked No. 97 nationally, dropped just five games in rolling to a 6-1, 6-4 win over Tiffany Nguyen of Liberty. The reigning CAA Player of the Week played once each day in singles and finished a perfect 2-0.
 
Junior Alisia Manolescu was the lone Tribe player to go 3-0 over the two days. She topped Liberty's Bruna Sampaio, 6-3, 6-3, on Sunday.
 
Both freshman Hedda Gurholt and junior Elisa Van Meeteren notched their second wins of the Liberty Invite. Gurholt dropped just four games in a 6-1, 6-3 win over the Flames' Maretha Burger, while Van Meeteren topped Micaela Ode Mitre, 6-3, 7-5. Both players finished the event at 2-1.
 
Sophomore Kensie Cricchio, who transferred to W&M from BYU, recorded her first singles win as a member of the Tribe on Sunday. She swept through Liberty's Elsa Kirch, 6-0, 6-0, to round out the day.
 
The Tribe will be back in action Sept. 24-26 at the UNC Ranked +1 event. Both Mila Saric and Raffaela Alhach will travel to Chapel Hill, N.C., to take part in the competition.
