In just six days – on April 13 – the William & Mary community will rally together from around the world for the eighth
One Tribe One Day (OTOD), our annual day of giving back and paying it forward.
This university-wide event will feature several virtual opportunities to hear from a wide variety of W&M people, including faculty, administrators and students. They are our best ambassadors, and will share with alumni, fans and friends some of the reasons why our university continues to be one of the best and most beloved in the world.
To date, our athletics department has been the beneficiary of great generosity from our Tribe community on OTOD. Since 2014, 11,494 supporters have given more than $1.8 million dollars to support our student-athletes and coaches.
Our goal this year is to beat 2018 in terms of dollars raised and to beat 2019's number of donors, making 2021 the best year yet for Athletics. We need your help to get there. Please let your teammates and classmates know that you're all in for W&M Athletics and encourage them to voice their support by giving on April 13.
In launching our
All In campaign on behalf of W&M Athletics, we
shared the importance of increasing broad-based annual giving and reaching an overall higher level of philanthropic support. Immediate-use, expendable funds will be vital to addressing the challenges we face regarding equity, financial stability and excellence. Every program needs to build a stalwart community of alumni and friends committed to providing for the program's financial sustainability. Every gift makes a difference, and each gift matters.
As part of OTOD, Athletics is hosting a virtual "Open House" where our current and prospective supporters can gather for personal conversations with staff, coaches and student-athletes. Topics include:
- How the Women in Action group is working to expand opportunities for all student-athletes
- Season updates from our coaches
- How our teams have adapted to practicing and competing, with COVID-19 protocols in place
- Progress toward our All In campaign goals and priorities

As always, I am thankful for your support and I look forward to having a chance to talk with many of you during our OTOD Open House. Go Tribe!
All the best,
Jeremy
