WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary men's soccer returns to action, hosting Colonial Athletic Association rival James Madison on Friday afternoon in a pivotal league match-up. Kick-off is set for 2 p.m. from the Dillard Complex.

Things to Know
- Last time the Tribe and Dukes met, W&M scored a trio of second-half goals in Harrisonburg to twice rallying from goal deficit in a 3-2 win in 2019.
Alexander Levengood scored in the 71st minute to pull the Tribe even at two, while
Theo Biddle headed home a corner kick from
Alfredo Bozalongo in the 88th minute to provide the game-winner.
- James Madison enters the game at 3-0-1 on the year. The Dukes are ranked No. 3 in the Atlantic Region according to the United Soccer Coaches and are currently receiving votes in the national rankings. College Soccer News ranks JMU at No. 26 in the country. In 2019, the Dukes won the CAA Championship. JMU leads the all-time series against the Tribe at 27-21-9 and it is even in Williamsburg at 9-9-4.
- The Tribe is 1-1 in CAA, while JMU is 2-0. This season, the CAA is divided into North and South Divisions with top two teams from each advancing to the CAA Tournament. Currently, UNCW leads the South Division at 2-0-1 followed by the Dukes (2-0), W&M (1-1), Charleston (0-2-1) and Elon (0-2). After Friday, the Tribe has one remaining division match-up at Elon on April 10.

Alexander Levengood recorded his first career brace in the Tribe's 2-0 win the last time out over Charleston. In the 38th minute, he got on the end of a
Nathan Messer cross to volley home what proved to be the game-winner from eight yards out. He added a second-half penalty kick for his second marker of 2021. Levengood recorded his second career game-winner and increased his career goals total to nine.
- Redshirt freshman
Will Stack garnered the CAA Rookie of the Week award for the second-straight week on March 15. He recorded his first career shutout, making a save against Charleston. On the year, Stack has seven saves and sports a goals against average of 0.71 in three matches. His GAA ranks fourth in the CAA.
- Youth is served on the Tribe's roster for the 2021 spring season. Of the 26 players on the roster, 21 are freshmen or sophomores, and there are zeros seniors. In the Tribe's first four matches, W&M has started nine freshmen and sophomores among its first XI. Last season, the Tribe started five freshmen in its final 15 matches.
