Tribe Things to Know
- The Tribe leads the all-time series with Virginia Tech at 11-4. The Hokies have won the last two meetings, including a 1-0 victory in Blacksburg in 2017. The teams meet for just the third time in the last 19 years on Saturday.
- In its set-up and spring competition, the 2021 campaign is a unique one across the country. Through two matches, the Tribe is 0-0-2 with a pair of draws. Adding the uniqueness, it marks the first time in school history that W&M has opened a season with back-to-back draws. In fact, W&M's 1-1 draw to start the year at VCU marked the first time the Tribe drew its season opener. It marks the eighth season in which the Tribe has had back-to-back ties at any time in a season and the first since 2016.

Zoe Doughty was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week after recording eight saves in a shutout of Charleston in the Tribe's CAA opener. She made a pair of big saves in the final 20 seconds to preserve the scoreless draw. Doughty has not allowed a goal in 175 minutes of action this season, making 11 total saves.
- The Green and Gold opened the season with a 1-1 draw at VCU on Feb. 26. Junior
Addie Puskar scored her first collegiate goal in the second half to give the Tribe a 1-0 lead. Senior
Mariana Hershner registered her first career assist, finding Puskar at the penalty spot in the 79th minute.
