CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The William & Mary women's tennis team suffered a 7-0 setback at No. 1-ranked North Carolina on Wednesday afternoon.

- North Carolina picked up the doubles point to start the match with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. The Tribe pair of junior

Vitoria Okuyama led Carolina's Elizabeth Scotty and Alexa Graham, 5-4, at the top spot when the match was abandoned with the doubles point decided.
- In singles, the Tar Heels won in straight sets at all six singles positions.
- Playing a nationally-ranked foe at the No. 1 spot, Saric battled to a 7-5 setback in the opening set against No. 120 Fiona Crawley, before the UNC freshman pulled out the win with a 6-0 victory in the second.
- At No. 2, graduate student
Jill van den Dungen jumped out a 3-2 advantage in the opening set against No. 49-ranked Makenna Jones. The Tar Heel All-American rallied by winning 10 of the final 11 games.

The Tribe returns to action on Sunday, March 21, when it travels to CAA foe James Madison. The match is slated for a 3 p.m. start time in Harrisonburg.
