WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Men's cross country sophomore Sam Pritchard was named the William & Mary Student-Athlete of the Week presented by the Virginia Lottery on Tuesday.

Pritchard was voted as this week's award winner by the Tribe fanbase via social media polls on both the @TribeAthletics Twitter and Instagram accounts. Volleyball's Julia Brown, women's swimming's Missy Cundiff, and football's Nate Lynn were also honored as finalists for the weekly award.

Pritchard finished as the runner-up at the Colonial Athletic Association Cross Country Championship last week, leading the Tribe to its 28th CAA title. He covered the 8K course in 25 minutes and 6.2 seconds to earn All-CAA honors for the first time in his career. On the year, Pritchard has placed among the top three Tribe runners in all five events.

Pritchard intends to major in business analytics and data sciences. Last year, he was named to the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.
