Men's Tennis Wraps Up Perfect Final Day at Spider Invite, Wins Eight Titles

Box Score RICHMOND, Va. – William & Mary men's tennis completed an impressive two-day showing at the Richmond Spider Invitational on Saturday. The Tribe claimed three doubles titles and five singles crowns and went 9-0 across singles and doubles on Saturday.
 
Over the two days at the Spider Invite, the Tribe combined to go 27-3, including a 19-3 mark in singles and a perfect 8-0 ledger in doubles.
 
Graduate student Harrison Brown and junior George Davis went 2-0 on Saturday to win the Orange Doubles Draw with a 3-0 mark over the two days.
 
In the Yellow Doubles Draw, senior Joseph Brailovsky and graduate student Chen Ruo won their third match on Saturday to claim the title.
 
Graduate student Finbar Talcott and senior Daniel Pellerito rounded out the Tribe doubles titles, taking the Pink Draw thanks to two wins on Friday.
 
In singles action, Brown (Flight 5), graduate student Sebastian Quiros (Flight 7), Pellerito (Flight 9) and Ruo (Flight 10) each posted singles wins on Saturday to claim their singles flights. Each Tribe player went 3-0 over the two-day event.
 
Brailovsky went 2-0 on Friday and claimed Flight 11 after his match on Saturday ended in an injury withdrawal.
 
Talcott and Davis closed out the event with wins on Saturday. Each player wrapped up their singles flights at 2-1.
 
The Tribe returns to action when it takes part in the ITA Atlantic Regional Qualifying, Oct. 14-17, at Liberty.
