RICHMOND, Va. – William & Mary men's tennis enjoyed a near perfect day to kick off the fall season at the Spider Invitational on Friday. In total, the Tribe went 5-0 in doubles action and 13-3 in singles competition.
 
Two Tribe doubles team went 2-0 in their respectively brackets and a third was 1-0. Senior Joseph Brailovsky and graduate student Chen Ruo went 2-0 in the Yellow Draw, while graduate student Finbar Talcott and senior Daniel Pellerito complied a 2-0 mark in the Pink Doubles Draw. Graduate student Harrison Brown and junior George Davis were 1-0 in the Orange Draw.
 
In singles action, five players went 2-0 on Friday. Brown (Flight 5), graduate student Sebastian Quiros (Flight 7), Pellerito (Flight 9), Ruo (Flight 10) and Brailovsky (Flight 11) each won two matches on the opening day of the Spider Invite.
 
Davis (Flight 2), Talcott (Flight 4) and senior Jack Kelly (Flight 8) split their matches in singles action on Friday.
