Levengood, Bozalongo Lift Tribe Over Blue Hens

NEWARK, DEL.- William & Mary men's soccer won a thrilling 3-2 match over Delaware Sunday afternoon. Alexander Levengood's brace and a beautiful free kick off the boot of Alfredo Bozalongo provided the Tribe with the offense.

Just three minutes into the match Delaware's Ryan Mertz went to the spot and converted to give the Blue Hens a 1-0 advantage. It would only take ten minutes for the Tribe to level as the Green and Gold would be awarded a penalty in the 13th minute and Alexander Levengood would convert to make it a 1-1 match.

The Tribe would take a 2-1 lead in the 55th minute as Bozalongo took his chance on a free kick from yards out. The right-footed strike found the bottom left corner giving the Green and Gold the lead. Moments later Levengood would find the back of the net with an assist from Diba Nwegbo giving William & Mary a 3-1 edge.

In the 79th minute, Mertz would score his second of the game to bring the Blue Hens within one but the Green and Gold would hold on to secure the victory.
