NORFOLK, Va. - The William & Mary field hockey team was edged at No.15 Old Dominion, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon at L.R. Hill Sports Complex.
The Tribe (3-11, 3-2 CAA) got on the scoreboard early with a goal by junior
Lauren Curran in the 9th minute, which was Curran's team-leading seventh goal of the season.
Although W&M maintained the lead for the remainder of the opening half, ODU (13-3, 5-1 Big East) scored a pair of goals in the second half - coming from Jolene Ulichney ('38) and Marlon De Bruijne ('41) - to secure the comeback victory.
ODU outshot the Tribe, 10-3, including a 5-2 advantage in shots on goal. ODU owned a 3-0 margin in penalty corners.
