CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – William & Mary women's tennis senior standout
Mila Saric advanced to the Round of 16 at the ITA Atlantic Super Regional hosted by the University of Virginia on Friday.
Saric, who is seeded eighth at the regional championships, defeated Old Dominion's Alesya Yakubovich in straight sets, 6-2, 7-6 (5), and advances to play Jojo Bach on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. With the victory, Saric improves to 6-1 this fall.
Freshman
Hedda Gurholt also competed at the event and fell to fifth-seeded Tatsiana Sasnouskaya (Old Dominion), 6-1, 6-1. The loss snapped Gurholt's five-match winning streak and marked just her second loss this fall.
