Dear Friend of William & Mary Athletics,

My mom and Miss Manners probably wouldn't approve of the mass email, but today's Mannuscript is a quick thank you note to the thousands of alumni, parents, students, donors, fans and friends who came to Williamsburg for Homecoming and Reunion celebrations.  The weekend was spectacular, and we can't say enough how grateful we are to everyone who donned their Green and Gold in support of our student-athletes.

William & Mary fans from every corner of the country, and beyond, came to campus representing every generation and every sport we play at W&M.  They gathered at tailgates, board meetings, sporting events, reunion lunches and more as they cheered on the Tribe and celebrated all things W&M.

Quite simply this was the most enjoyable weekend I've ever had in my professional career.  For those who want to relive the fun, and for those who missed it, here are some highlights:
  • Our gritty football team won its fourth in a row.
  • We celebrated the 231 student-athletes who earned the Provost's Award which recognizes student-athletes with a cumulative grade point average above 3.5.
  • 2020 grads enjoyed a delayed Commencement (first time I've worn academic regalia in a while) and President Katherine A. Rowe showed off her athletic skills.  And I thought I had a good throwing arm!

Provost Award winners honored during a timeout at the Homecoming football game.

Everyone who attended the festivities probably has their own special memories and I'd love to hear them! Please share them by replying to this message.  And for those who couldn't make it, mark your calendars for next year!

Go Tribe!
