WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Junior defensive lineman
Nate Lynn was selected as the William & Mary Student-Athlete of the Week presented by the Virginia Lottery after a tremendous performance in the Tribe football team's 31-24 homecoming victory against UAlbany on Saturday.
Lynn played a pivotal role in the Tribe's impressive defensive effort and posted six tackles with a pair of strip sacks that both resulted in fumbles.
One of the nation's top pass rushers this season, Lynn currently ranks fifth in the country with 1.38 sacks per game and tied for 11th nationally with 5.5 sacks despite playing in just four games. Those figures rank first and second, respectively, in the Colonial Athletic Association.
