WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – After establishing himself as one of the nation's top kick returners as a true freshman last season, Bronson Yoder garnered STATS PERFORM FCS Preseason All-America First Team distinction on Wednesday.
 
The honor marks his second preseason All-America award, as he also earned the distinction from HERO Sports.
 
Yoder garnered multiple Freshman All-America honors in 2019 after setting a single-season school-record with 913 kickoff return yards, which ranked second in the country. His two kickoff returns for touchdowns also ranked tied for first nationally.
 
Additionally, he ranked 11th nationally in kickoff return average (26.9), which ranks third in school history.
 
The safety transitioned to the offensive side of the ball midway through the season and ranked sixth in the CAA in all-purpose yards per game (112.2). He also ranked third on the team in rushing (375 yards) and averaged 5.9 yards per carry.
 
William & Mary and the CAA postponed football for the fall in July due to concerns associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Both will continue to explore the possibilities of conducting a season in the Spring of 2021.
