Women's Golf Posts Best Round of River Landing Classic

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The William & Mary women's golf team rounded out the final round of the River Landing Classic with its best score of the tournament as it shot a 301 (+13). The Tribe finished the tournament in ninth with a 909 (+45). Host UNCW won the tournament with an 881 (+17).
 
Sophomore Sarah Houle and freshman Cindy Zhou had the best individual rounds of the afternoon as they both carded matching 74's (+2) in the final round. Houle was the Tribe's best finisher as her tournament score of 227 (+11) was good for a tie for 27th.
 
Zhou was just off of the pace for the tournament set by Houle. The rookie carded a 229 (+13) in the two-day event.
 
Notes 
For the second straight tournament, freshman Mikah McDonnell lowered her career tournament score this time to a 233 (+17).

What's Ahead 
W&M will be off until the end of the month when it returns to Williamsburg and will host the 2020 Kingsmill Intercollegiate. It is the 31st straight year the Green and Gold has hosted a spring tournament. The event runs from March 30-31 on the Kingsmill River Course.
