Scouting the Tribe
- The Tribe sits at 0-3-2 on the year following a 4-1 setback on Saint Joseph's on Tuesday night.
- Last week, W&M posted a pair of 1-1 draws against strong competition. The Tribe drew No. 24-ranked NC State on Sept. 10, before earning a point in the CAA standings with a tie against UNCW on Saturday night.

- Baskett's 11 saves against the Seahawks were the most for a W&M player since 1998 when Adin Brown tallied 12 against St. John's. The total was the most in a CAA game since 2015 and the eighth-most in the country this season.
- In the draw with UNCW, the Tribe scored 35 seconds into the match as freshman Alexander Levengood notched his second goal of the season. It marks the fastest goal for the Tribe since it scored 18 seconds into a win over VCU in 2016.
- Senior Reeves Trott and freshman Diba Nwegbo tallied assists on Levengood's goal against NC State. It was the sixth assist of Trott's career, while it was Nwegbo's first career point.
- Levengood ranks eighth in the CAA with two goals.
- Each of the last three games, the Tribe started five freshmen. It marks the first time five rookies started for W&M since 2015. Freshmen Marcos Villeda and Alfredo Bozalongo have joined, Nwegbo, Baskett and Levengood in the starting lineup.
- Senior Cole Smith scored the Tribe's lone goal, notching the equalizer in the 83rd minute of the 1-1 draw with NC State. It was his second career goal.
- Senior Julian Ngoh, who scored at Saint Joseph's to cut the deficit to 2-1, is tied for the team lead with four points on a goal and two assists. His two helpers are tied for the CAA lead.
- Baskett leads the CAA in saves (28) and saves per game (5.60), while ranking third in save percentage (.757) and eighth in goals against average (1.65). His save total ranks 18th nationally.
- Junior Sam Golan, who was an All-CAA third-team selection in 2018, and freshman Alfredo Bozalongo have been the Tribe's ironmen so far in 2019. They are the only two W&M field players to play all 490 minutes.
- In total, over half of the Tribe's starts this season (29-of-55) have come from its underclassmen – freshmen and sophomores. The rookies own 22 of those starts.
