William & Mary vs. Iona

How It Happened
The Tribe rushed out to a 6-0 lead in the opening frame, and would score 12 of the first 14 points of the match. After Iona pulled within 17-13, the Tribe ripped off eight of the final 10 points, including a trio of kills from Lauren Merrill. Kate Dedrick added a pair of block assists during the run and Merrill's killed ended it at 25-15.

The Gaels scored the opening two points of the second set and it was even at six, before the Tribe gained the upper hand with a 10-2 run. Anne Louise Seekford and Autumn Brenner had aces, Merrill, Julia Brown and Claire Farrell chipped in kills to extend the lead to 16-8. W&M poured it on in the latter part of the second set, tallying six of the final eight points to take another 25-15 win. Seekford notched a trio of kills in the set, including two late.

Four different players tallied kills and a block from Julia Brown and Claire Farrell gave W&M an early 6-2 lead in the third set. With the teams even at 20, W&M tallied three-straight points, including consecutive kills from Brown and Farrell to open up a 23-20 lead. Iona won five of the final six points of the set to pull out the third, 27-25. A Jessica Paolucci ace drew the Gaels even at 24, before a Samantha Juran ace gave the visitors their first set of the day. It was Juran's second ace of the third set.

The teams traded the opening 10 points of the fourth game, before W&M took a 9-6 lead following a block from Ferguson and Farrell. After Iona drew within 20-17, Dedrick recorded back-to-back kills to reestablish the six-point margin, 23-17. Dedrick led the Tribe in set four with five kills and a trio of block assists. After a Ferguson and Zeyanna Dhalla combined block to give W&M match point, Seekford closed it out with a kill and the 25-19 victory.

William & Mary vs. Georgetown

How It Happened
The second match was not as kind to the Tribe as Georgetown got out to a 14-4 lead in set one. The Hoyas would coast, never surrendering the lead on their way to a 25-11 opening set win. Kate Dedrick had two of her team-high eleven kills in the frame.

Set two was more of the same as Georgetown took advantage of a .346 hitting percentage for a 25-17 win. Dedrick threw down four more kills and Autumn Brenner and Zeyanna Dhall each dished out five assists in the losing effort.

Set three saw more of a back and forth flow featuring five ties and three lead changes, but the Hoyas would once again pull away for a 25-17 match-clinching win. Dedrick had her best set with five kills and Claire Farrell added four.

Inside the Numbers
Dedrick reached double-digit kills for the second straight match. Gabi Ganley had seven digs on the evening, six coming in the third set in which she was the team's libero.
