WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William women's basketball team dropped a hard fought 82-75 decision to Towson on Friday night at Kaplan Arena. With the result, the Tribe falls to 12-12, 5-8 in Colonial Athletic Association play, while the Tigers improve to 16-9, 10-4 in league action.
With the scored tied at 70-70, Towson used a 6-1 run to take control of the game. Q. Murray hit a pair of free throws to give the Tigers their first lead since the first half. After junior
Victoria Reynolds split a pair of free throws, Kionna Jeter drove to the basket for two to push the lead to three points. The Tribe had three looks a game tying 3-pointer, but couldn't connect. The Tigers went 8-of-8 from the free throw line down the stretch to ice the victory.
W&M used an 8-3 run to push its lead to nine points to start the third quarter. Reynolds opened the half with a 3-pointer, before sophomore

Gabby Rogers added a lay-up to make it 47-38 with 7:34 left in third period.
The Tribe opened its largest lead with a 9-0 run midway through the second quarter. Rogers scored the first four points, before Reynolds added a triple. Boggs put the finishing touches on the run with two free throws to make it 30-16 with 5:55 left in the opening half.

Kionna Jeter scored a game-high 20 points for Towson, and added a rebound and a steal. Nukiya Mayo finished with 17 points, five rebounds, an assist, and a steal, while Q. Murray had 10 points, six assists, four rebounds, and a theft. Both Janeen Camp (12 points, eight rebounds, three blocks) and Danielle Durjan (10 points, one rebound three assist) were in double-figures off of the bench for the Tigers.
