Women's Tennis Falls at #18 Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Playing its fourth major conference opponent of the season, the William & Mary women's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision at No. 18-ranked Virginia on Tuesday afternoon at the Boar's Head Sports Club.

How It Happened
- Virginia (8-1) opened the match by taking the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. The Cavalier duo of Hunter Bleser and Meghan Kelley topped junior Natalia Perry and freshman Mila Saric, 6-1, on line three to give the home team the early lead.
- Vivian Glozman and Sofia Munera clinched the initial point of the match with a 6-2 win over senior Lauren Goodman and junior Charlotte Madson at No. 2.
- UVA pushed its lead to 3-0 with wins at the top two positions. Glozman dropped just one game in a 6-0, 6-1 win over senior Clara Tanielian at the No. 2 spot before Kelley, who is ranked No. 45 nationally, downed Perry, 6-2, 6-2, on the top line.
- Amber O'Dell clinched the Virginia victory with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Saric at the No. 4 spot. The setback snapped Saric's two-match win streak as she fell to 4-2 in dual-match play.
- Madson jumped out to a set advantage at the No. 5 position, taking the first from Bleser, 6-2. The Cavalier junior rallied to take the second set, 6-3, before the match was abandoned with the team results decided.
