UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Sophomore Sebastian Quiros and freshman Oren Vasser posted singles wins on Friday night, but the William & Mary men's tennis team suffered a 4-2 setback at Big Ten foe Penn State.

How It Happened
- The Nittany Lions (5-3) opened the match by capturing the doubles point. Ben Lieb and Alp Sentay won the No. 3 spot over the freshman duo of Oren Vasser and Daniel Pellerito, 6-2.
- In a match-up of nationally-ranked doubles teams, PSU's No. 4-ranked pair of Constant De La Basse and Gabriel Nemeth won the final three games at the top spot to down W&M's No. 45-ranked tandem of senior Tristan Bautil and sophomore Finbar Talcott, 6-2.
- After PSU increased the lead to 2-0 with a win at No. 2 singles, Vasser put W&M (0-6) on the board and picked up his first career dual-match singles win in straight sets at the fourth spot. The Tribe rookie topped junior Christos Antonopoulo, 6-2, 6-3, for his eighth win of the year.
- The senior duo of Constant De La Basse and Ben Lieb cemented the Penn State victory with wins at No. 1 and No. 5 singles. De La Basse downed junior Brenden Volk, 6-2, 7-5, at the top spot to increase PSU's lead to 3-1. At No. 5, Lieb clinched the Nittany Lion win with a 6-2, 6-1 triumph over Pellerito.
- Sophomore Sebastian Quiros notched the Tribe's second singles win of the night in three sets at No. 3. He took the opening set from Nemeth, 6-4, before the Penn State junior rallied to take the second, 6-0. The counterparts battled into the third-set tiebreaker where Quiros outlasted Nemeth, 7-5.
