Men's Basketball Falls at Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. – William & Mary men's basketball dropped its second-straight game to Power 5 competition on the road to a hot-shooting Stanford, 81-50, on Thursday night.

Senior Andy Van Vliet led the Tribe (4-2) with 11 points, including a 3-of-6 effort from 3-point range, to go with five rebounds. Sophomore Quinn Blair finished with a career-high 10 points, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range. Three days after a dominating 30-point effort at Oklahoma, senior Nathan Knight was limited to seven points and five rebounds in just 21 minutes of action before fouling out.

Stanford forced W&M into 17 turnovers and scored 25 points off those miscues. Tyrell Terry tallied a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double, both career-highs, and he was 5-of-7 from 3-point range.

- Stanford scored 14 of the half's final 20 points to take a 39-25 advantage to the locker room. Bryce Wills answered W&M's run with an old-fashion 3-point play and da Silva's lay-up at the 4:33 mark pushed the Stanford lead back to double-digits, 30-19.
- Daejon Davis scored six of the Cardinal's final nine points of the half and his lay-up in the closing minute gave Stanford a 14-point half-time lead, 39-25.
