Williamsburg, Va. (Dec. 7, 2018) – Former William & Mary Head Football Coach Jimmye Laycock will be honored by the Touchdown Club of Richmond with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Dudley & Lanier Awards Banquet on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 6 p.m., at the Hilton Richmond Hotel.

One of the most successful coaches in the history of college football, Laycock finished his remarkable 39-year career at William & Mary with 249 wins – a total that ranks tied for 24th all-time.
Laycock's tremendous accomplishments include 10 NCAA Playoff appearances, five conference titles and 24 winning seasons. Additionally, he guided W&M to the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) semifinals twice – 2004 and 2009 – and finished seasons with a national ranking 13 times.
The Touchdown Club of Richmond is a sports-social organization, based in Richmond, that promotes the best interests of the American game of football and sports in general, under the guidance of elected officers, with the predominate purpose being to recognize worthy athletes for their accomplishments and to encourage them to continue their education and athletic careers.
