Women's Soccer Suffers Setback in Season Finale Against Northeastern

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary women's soccer fell to Northeastern 1-0 in the season finale on Sunday afternoon at Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field. With the decision the Tribe falls to 6-10-1, 3-5-1 in Colonial Athletic Association play, while the Huskies improved to 10-8-1, 7-2-0 in league action.

The Huskies scored the match's lone goal in the 33rd minute. Katarina Nilsson played the ball down the right side of the pitch, before sending a cross to the front of the goal mouth. Olivia Ware was able to get on the other end of it and direct it into the top right corner of the net.

W&M created multiple chances, but its best chance came in the 60th minute. Redshirt junior Sarah Segan won a one-versus-one against the goalkeeper, but had a harsh angle and had to play a pass back to sophomore Erin Dailey. Dailey uncorked a shot through traffic, but it was cleared off the endline by a Northeastern defender for the team save.
