WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary women's basketball team couldn't withstand a Drexel fourth quarter and overtime rally as it fell at Kaplan Arena, 65-58, in its third overtime game of the season. With the setback, the Tribe falls to 11-4, 2-2, while Drexel improves to 11-5, 3-1 in league action.
W&M used a quick 4-0 run to build a 42-33 lead at the end of the first 30 minutes. Leading by five, freshman

Jenna Green hit four consecutive free throws rebuilding the Tribe's nine-point cushion.
Drexel used a 10-0 to regain a lead for the first time since the first quarter over six minutes of the fourth quarter. Kelsi Lidge scored the first eight points, before Aubree Brown gave DU the advantage with a lay-up at 46-44 with 1:52 left.
The Green and Gold responded by scoring on its next possession on a senior
Abby Rendle jumper to tie the score, and regained the lead on a pair of free throws from junior
Bianca Boggs. After a Kelsi Lidge free throw cut it to one, sophomore
Nari Garner made two free throws to extend back to a three-point cushion. With five seconds left, Megan Marecic canned a long 3-pointer to tie the score. Boggs half-court heave at the buzzer rimmed out and the game went to overtime.
W&M jumped out of the gates of the extra session with the first four points of overtime. Boggs got to the hole on the first possession, before junior
Misha Jones added a pair of free throws to make it 54-50 with 4:19 left.
However, the Dragons stormed back and used a 10-0 run to build a seven-point lead in secure the victory in overtime. Down by three, Bailey Greenberg completed a traditional 3-point play to tie the score. The Dragons reeled off seven in a row as Sara Woods hit a jumper, Greenberg added a free throw, Megan Marecic added two from the stripe, before Woods hit a jumper to make it 63-56 with 45 seconds left in the extra session.

Bianca Boggs scored a game-high with 17 points, while she added a pair of rebounds, assists, and steals. Senior
Abby Rendle was the only other player in double-figures with 14 points, four boards, five rejections, and one steal. Sophomore
Victoria Reynolds just missed a double-double with nine points, 10 rebounds, while adding three blocks, three assists, and a steal.
Sara Woods scored 17 points to lead four Dragons in double-figures. She added three rebounds, and an assist. Bailey Greenberg and Megan Marecic added 12 points apiece, while Greenberg just missed a double-double with nine rebounds. Kelsi Lidge rounded out double-figure scorers with a double-double on 10 points and 13 rebounds. The senior stuffed the stat sheet with eight assists, two blocks, and five steals.
Inside the Numbers
- The Tribe shot just 38.3-percent from the floor (18-for-47). However, W&M shot 51.7-percent (15-of-29) from the floor in the first three quarters, before going cold late.
- Drexel out rebounded the Tribe 44-34 in the contest.
- W&M had season-high 23 turnovers and recorded just 12 assists.

What's Ahead
W&M closes a three-game homestand against defending CAA champion Elon on Sunday, Jan. 14. Tipoff between the Tribe and the Phoenix is set for 2 p.m. The game will serve as Girl Scout day. Girl Scouts (K-8) are invited to participate in pregame festivities in the Whitman Cup room from 1-2 p.m. The festivities will include crafts, games, and cheer clinic with W&M cheerleaders. All Girl Scouts in attendance will receive a Scout Patch (while supplies last). As with all home weekend games, the Tribe will hold Kids Court where kids, 12 and under, can shoot on the floor following the game.
