WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Senior Sydney Biniak recorded double-digit kills in her 12^th straight match to lead the William & Mary volleyball team during a 3-0 (25-22, 25-13, 25-14) defeat against unbeaten CAA rival Towson on Sunday afternoon in Kaplan Arena. Biniak tallied 10 kills as the Tribe (2-14, 0-3 CAA) wrapped up its three-match homestead with the Tigers (16-0, 2-0 CAA).
 
In the first set, the Tribe made a strong effort to dig out of an eight-point deficit at 18-10. The Green and Gold ignited a 5-0 run to trim the margin to 18-15. Biniak brought down the hammer and the Tigers committed an attack error to make it a one-point stanza, 23-22. However, a service error and kill from Towson's Marrisa Wonders stopped the rally.
 
Towson went on to generate a .484 attack percentage in the second set and then hit .333 in the third to finish out the contest. The Tigers combined for just six attack errors in the last two periods.
 
Inside the Numbers
- Rookie Kate Dedrick posted six kills in 13 attempts with just one error to post a .385 hitting efficiency.
- Katie Kemp led W&M in assists (11) and Katie Turner notched a team-high in digs (10).
- As a team, the Tigers finished the conference clash hitting .380.
- Towson's Carola Biver led all players with 18 kills and Olamide Sonuga totaled six blocks.  

Notes
The Tribe competed against back-to-back undefeated programs in back-to-back days this weekend with JMU and Towson…Dedrick has recorded a .333-plus attack rate in five matches and hit over .400 in two of them…Freshman Julia Brown has served an ace in three consecutive matches…Junior Heather Pippus registered at least eight digs in three straight contest. Freshman Denisha Shaw made her first appearance of 2017 in the third set.
