JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. –The William & Mary baseball team dropped a 9-3 decision in the second of a three-game series at ETSU on Friday evening.
With the loss, the Tribe falls to 18-18, while the Bucs advance to 17-15.
During its fourth straight road game in as many days, the Tribe had a trio of players tally multiple hits. Junior

Patrick Ryan notched two hits each. Wrighte and senior
Ryder Miconi both drove in a run and posted a double.
Similar to the series opener, the Bucs jumped to a quick start with eight runs scored through the first four innings. After tacking on a run behind a sac fly in the first inning, ETSU kept rolling with back-to-back three-run frames in the second and third inning.
Jammer Strickland pushed across the first run of the second inning on a RBI double to left center. Hunter Parker launched a sacrifice fly to right field, and Jammer Strickland followed up with an RBI single through the left side.
In the bottom of the third, Hagen Owenby led off with a solo shot to left field, before Strickland registered a two-RBI triple to give ETSU a 7-0 margin.
The Bucs tacked on another run in the fourth, before the Tribe were able to trim the deficit in the top of the fifth inning.
During the fifth, back-to-back singles and a walk loaded the bases with no outs. Junior
Cullen Large then dialed up a sac fly to left field, plating rookie
Michael Goldak. After the second out, sophomore
Owen Socher reached home plate on a wild pitch. Miconi then followed up with a RBI ground-rule double to right center for a 7-3 affair.
The Tribe placed a runner in scoring position in the fifth and seventh inning, but the Bucs' held the Green and Gold at bay, while scoring an insurance run on another leadoff solo blast in the eighth.
Bodie Sheehan (4-3) was dealt the loss after surrendering seven runs on seven hits in three innings. Blake Smith (3-4) received the win as he went five innings with five strikeouts and three runs on seven hits.
The Tribe will aim to prevent the series sweep against ETSU tomorrow at 1 p.m.
