The Tribe used the same combination for the second-straight day to take the doubles point. Senior

Ryan Newman clinched the initial point for the second match in a row, rolling to a 6-3 win over Aidan McNulty and Hank Workman. They improved to 8-5 on the season and 2-1 at the top spot.
Appleby pushed the Tribe lead to 2-0 with his first dual-match win of the year. He topped Boston College's Sean Mullins, 6-3, 6-4, at the No. 3 spot.
After the Eagles claimed their first point with a win at No. 4, the Tribe clinched the match with wins at the top-two singles spots. Talcott won his second-straight match at the top singles spot, upending McNulty, 6-3, 6-3. The 72nd-ranked player in the country improved to 6-4 overall and 2-1 at No. 1.
For the second time in as many days, Cargill won in three sets, this time to cement the team win. After dropping the first set, 6-3, to Workman at No. 2, the Tribe junior picked up matching 6-4 wins in the second and third sets. He won for the fourth time this season and upped his dual-match mark to 2-1 at the second spot.
Ruamthong rounded out the Tribe victory with his first career dual-match win. He rolled to a 6-1 win in the opening set over Peter Campana, before winning the second in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (0). Ruamthong pushed his season mark to 6-2.
The Tribe hosts its first home dual-match of the season, welcoming Navy to the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center on Sunday, Jan. 29. The match carries an 11 a.m. start time.
