NORFOLK, Va. – The No. 70 William & Mary men's tennis team fell at No. 48 Old Dominion, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center. W&M dropped to 12-8 on the year, while the Monarchs, which have won 14 of their last 15 matches, improved to 17-4.
 
The Tribe switched up its doubles lineup, and despite some close battles, dropped the initial point of the match. ODU's duo of Adam Moundir and Aziz Kijametovic, which is ranked No. 50 nationally, gave the home team the lead with a 6-3 win over junior Addison Appleby and sophomore Christian Cargill at the top spot. Jacob Nicolussi and Jose Nunez Navarro outlasted the Tribe junior pair of Aidan Talcott and Damon Niquet, 6-4, at No. 3 to clinch the point. The No. 2 spot was abandoned with Michael Weindl and Javier Jover Maestre holding a slim 5-4 advantage over sophomore Ryan Newman and freshman Tristan Bautil.
 
Moundir downed Cargill, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 1, before Maestre upended sophomore Lars de Boer, 6-2, 6-1, at the fourth spot. Kijametovic clinched the Monarch triumph with a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Appleby at the No. 2 position.

The Tribe closes out the regular season with a pair of home matches next weekend. W&M hosts Navy on Saturday, April 16, at 11 a.m., in a match rescheduled from a January postponement. The Green and Gold will celebrate Senior Day on Sunday, April 17, when it hosts CAA foe James Madison. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m., and the Tribe will honor its lone senior, Scott Huang, in between doubles and singles.
