WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Feb. 1, 2016) – The William & Mary football team's 2016 season opener at NC State has been moved to Thursday, Sept. 1. The kickoff time will be announced at a later date.
 
The season-opening game was originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 3.
 
The matchup with the Wolfpack will mark W&M's first Thursday night contest since the 2007 season opener against Delaware.

Ranked 12th nationally in the Football Championship Subdivision at the conclusion of the 2015 season, W&M will look to build upon its success next fall when it returns 14 starters (eight offense, six defense), as well as its All-America placekicker and first-team all-conference punter.
