The William & Mary volleyball team finished up its season-long road swing on Sunday, falling 3-1 at Hofstra. The Tribe moves to 6-11 on the year and 0-4 in the Colonial Athletic Association, while Hofstra improves to 12-5 (2-2 in the CAA).
The Tribe had a number of players play well on the day, including junior
Sydney Biniak (Elkridge, Md.) who hit .324 with 15 kills, to go along with seven digs and three blocks. Freshman
Alex Stein (East Setauket, N.Y.), playing just an hour from home, added in 10 kills, four digs, and a block, while classmate
Casey Foote (Prospect, Ky.) had five kills, eight digs, and a service ace. Junior
Katie Primatic (Pittstown, N.J.) led the Tribe with five blocks, and also dropped in three kills.

Sara Zumbach (Franklin, Tenn.) had a match-high 18 digs as well as an ace, and senior
Gabrielle Pe (Virginia Beach, Va.) chipped in nine more digs. Freshman
Samantha Conway (Mechanicsville, Va.) earned her first start of the season, and came through with 11 digs. Rounding out the notables, rookie
Autumn Brenner (McLean, Va.) had 32 assists to go with three digs, two kills, and a block.
William & Mary returns home for the first time in a month next weekend, hosting a pair of conference foes. The Tribe will take on the College of Charleston on Friday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m., before hosting UNCW on Sunday at 2 p.m.
