The William & Mary women's basketball fell on the road Friday night at Richmond, 56-50, despite a near double-double from sophomore Abby Rendle.  The Tribe moves to 2-1 on the year, while the Spiders improved to 3-0 overall.

Rendle scored 14 points to lead the Tribe, including a 4-4 performance from the line, and also led all players with nine rebounds and a pair of blocks.  Juniors Marlena Tremba and Alexandra Masaquel scored nine each, Tremba pairing hers with a balanced line of five rebounds, four assists, and two steals; while Masaquel had seven boards and game-best five assists.  Also of note for the Tribe, sophomore Jenna Green Scored eight points to go with four rebounds and two assists.

The Green and Gold were able to gain a slight advantage several times, and went on an 8-0 run to close the first half with the lead, 24-21.  The Spiders controlled the third quarter, however, opening up a five-point advantage that the Tribe chased but couldn't close.

William & Mary is back in action on Monday, as the Tribe travels to face Loyola (Md.) at 7 p.m.
