The William and Mary volleyball fell in another marathon match to end the week at the Clemson Classic, losing against Wofford, 3-2.  The Tribe is now 4-6 on the year, while the Terriers improved to 3-6 overall.

Junior Dessi Koleva (Torrance, Calif.) continued her strong play on the weekend, scoring a career-high 20 kills to go with eight digs and three blocks.  Classmate Mallory Brickerd (Ashburn, Va.) had another 14 kills with two blocks, and Carolyn Albright (Raleigh, N.C.) had a season-high eight blocks.  Sophomore Gabrielle Pe (Virginia Beach, Va.) chipped in with a match-high 21 digs to go with an ace.

Also of note, freshman Sydney Biniak (Elkridge, Md.) had seven kills, five digs, and five blocks, and classmate Paige Humphrey (Oak Hill, Va.) added in six blocks.  Sophomore Stephanie Paul (North Bethesda, Md.) had 25 assists, eight digs, and three kills to go with a block and an ace, and freshman Austyn Ames (Wichita, Kan.) had another 12 assists to go with three digs.  Roundout the notables, freshman Sara Zumbach (Franklin, Tenn.) had six digs, and classmate Maddie Sanford (Georgetown, Texas) had four kills on a .400 attack.

William and Mary will be back in action next weekend at its final pre-season tournament, the Wolfpack Invitational in Raleigh, N.C.  The Tribe will play Howard on Friday, Sept. 19, at 4 p.m., before facing North Carolina State and Coastal Carolina the next day at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.
