The William and Mary volleyball team continued play at the Jefferson Cup early Saturday morning, falling 3-0 to Seton Hall. The Tribe is now 4-9 overall, while the Pirates improved to 4-6 on the season.
Box ScoreLeading the way for W&M once again was the sophomore class, with
Dessi Koleva (Torrance, Calif.) scoring nine kills and
Carolyn Albright (Raleigh, N.C.) adding a team-best three blocks. Classmate
Mallory Brickerd (Ashburn, Va.) had five more kills to go with a block, and senior
Jaclyn McKenna (Huntington, N.Y.) matched those totals coming off the bench.
Also of note was the play of rookies, with
Kristen Larrick (Bethesda, Md.) scoring two blocks, and
Stephanie Paul (North Bethesda, Md.) with 13 assists, five digs, and a block in two sets of action.
Paige Lucas (Asheboro, N.C.) had eight assists in her one set worth of play. On the defensive side, redshirt-junior
Paulette Grand Pre (Laguna Beach, Va.) had eight digs, and senior
Celine Alasomuka (Centreville, Va.) was right behind her with seven digs.
William and Mary is back in action tonight, facing Virginia tonight at 7 p.m.
