The William and Mary volleyball team fell in another hard-fought road match Sunday, coming out on the short end of a 3-0 score at UNCW. The Tribe is now 7-16 overall and 2-5 in the Colonial Athletic Association, while the Seahawks improve to 14-7, 3-4 in league play.

Paige Lucas (Asheboro, N.C.) was also the best on the day at her position, making 26 assists to go with nine digs and a block. Sophomore
Dessi Koleva (Torrance, Calif.) accounted for another double-double, pacing the Tribe offense with 15 kills and adding 14 digs as well.
Other notable efforts included junior
Liz Brown (Ellicott City, Md.), who had eight kills and a team-best two blocks. Redshirt-freshman
Michelle Heath (Rustburg, Va.) came on in the final set and had an impressive four kills and no errors on a .667 attack, and also added in a block to her statline. Senior
Celine Alasomuka (Centreville, Va.) had nine blocks on the day, and freshman
Gabrielle Pe (Virginia Beach, Va.) had five more.
William and Mary will continue on the road with three matches this week, starting Tuesday with a jaunt up to Richmond to face VCU at 7 p.m.
