WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -
William and Mary women's basketball head coach Debbie Taylor announced the
appointment of Chris Koclanes to the position of director of basketball operations.
Koclanes's responsibilities will include:
team travel, film exchange, scheduling, budgeting and office administration.
"Chris brings a strong organizational back ground and
passion for the game to our staff. His
professionalism, preparedness and people skills set himself apart in the
interview process. He will be
responsible for keeping our program and staff organized and running
efficiently," said head Coach Debbie Taylor.
Koclanes joins the College as a graduate from Old Dominion
University. While at Old Dominion, he
served as a scout team player for the women's basketball team. Kolcanes also assisted as a practice player
for both the ODU men and women's tennis programs and was captain for the ODU
Club tennis team, leading them to an appearance in the 2010 national
championships.
Upon graduation from Old Dominion, Koclanes worked in New
York City as a consultant, financial advisor and client service specialist for
multiple firms including AXA Advisors. Koclanes
was also the head coach of the Hooperstown Huskies AAU Basketball program.
A native of Pelham, N.Y., Koclanes graduated from Old
Dominion University in 2010 with a degree in finance.
