The Tribe swimming team holds practices and home meets in the W&M Rec Center, in an eight-lane, 25-yard pool. Since moving into the pool in 1989-90, the Tribe has posted a combined record of 156-113 (.580), while swimming against the best teams from the CAA, ACC, Atlantic-10, Big East, CUSA, MAAC, Southern Conference, SWC, Patriot League, and the MEAC.
The facility includes a fully-automatic Daktronics scoring system and scoreboard, and stereo and PA system. Combined with W&M's customary standing-room-only crowds, it makes the Rec Center one of the loudest and toughest places to swim in the conference and the region.
Located on Compton and Brooks Streets, the Bee McLeod Recreation Center was originally built in the Summer of 1989 and was renovated and expanded in 2006. In 2020, the building was re-named Bee McLeod Recreation Center in honor of its namesake.
