Men's Tennis Hosts Tribe Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary men's tennis closes out the fall campaign hosting the Tribe Invitational for the 13th time in the last 14 years. The six-team event will include competitors from Navy, Old Dominion Penn, Richmond and VCU along with the host Tribe.
 
The Tribe Invitational is set for the Millie West Tennis Facility, weather permitting, Friday, Nov. 1, through Sunday, Nov. 3. The McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center will be used as the indoor back-up in case of inclement weather. Action is scheduled for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday begins at 10 a.m. with the final matches of the day starting at 1 p.m.

Scouting the Tribe
- Sophomore Joseph Brailovsky led the way for the Tribe with four wins and advanced to singles quarterfinals at the ITA Atlantic Region Championship. He owns a 5-4 singles ledger.
- Junior Sebastian Quiros advanced to the round of 16 in singles action thanks to a three-set nationally-ranked win. He rallied for a win over No. 104-ranked Henrik Korsgaard of Virginia Tech. It was his third career nationally-ranked victory. Qurios was an All-CAA First Team selection last season.
- In doubles action at the region championship, Brailovsky and senior Brenden Volk advanced to the round of 16 with a pair of wins. All four Tribe doubles teams picked up opening round wins, including freshman George Davis and junior Finbar Talcott upset the No. 3-seeded Virginia team of Gianni Ross and William Woodall, who both advanced to at least the singles quarterfinals.
- Sophomore Daniel Pellerito leads the team with an 8-3 singles record. He won a pair of matches at the regional to advance to the third round and went 3-1 at the River City Open.  
- Davis leads the Tribe with a 6-2 doubles mark. He teamed with Brailovsky to win the White Flight at the Duke Invitational with a 3-0 mark. Davis and Talcott are 3-2 as a team.
- Junior Chen Ruo led the Tribe in singles action at the Duke Invitational with a 3-1 mark in the Black Flight.

- The Tribe kicks off the dual-match season with a CAA match-up against James Madison on Sunday, Jan. 26. The match carries a 1 p.m. start time from the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center.
