RICHMOND, Va. – Junior Natalia Perry and freshman Mila Saric were named the Colonial Athletic Association Doubles Team of the Week on Wednesday afternoon. The Tribe tandem opened the 2019 dual-match campaign with four-straight wins.
 
Perry and Saric jump-started the year with a 6-2 win over Richmond's Lyndell Giffenig and Helene Heiberg in the Tribe's 6-1 team victory over the Spiders. They helped W&M secure the doubles point in a match against Big 12 foe Kansas State at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend thanks to a 6-3 triumph over Ioana Gheorghita and Karine-Marion Job. Perry and Saric also own doubles wins over Winthrop's Tayla Van Eck and Ellie Burns, 6-3, and South Florida's Laura Pellicer Perello and Janvhi Clark, 6-2. 
 
The award was the second career doubles weekly honor for Perry and the first time that Saric has been recognized.
 
The Tribe returns to the friendly confines of the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center when it hosts Big Ten foe Purdue on Sunday, Feb. 3. The match is slated for an 11 a.m. start time.
