Mila Saric were named the Colonial Athletic Association Doubles Team of the Week on Wednesday afternoon. The Tribe tandem opened the 2019 dual-match campaign with four-straight wins.
Perry and Saric jump-started the year with a 6-2 win over Richmond's Lyndell Giffenig and Helene Heiberg in the Tribe's 6-1 team victory over the Spiders. They helped W&M secure the doubles point in a match against Big 12 foe Kansas State at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend thanks to a 6-3 triumph over Ioana Gheorghita and Karine-Marion Job. Perry and Saric also own doubles wins over Winthrop's Tayla Van Eck and Ellie Burns, 6-3, and South Florida's Laura Pellicer Perello and Janvhi Clark, 6-2.
The award was the second career doubles weekly honor for Perry and the first time that Saric has been recognized.
The Tribe returns to the friendly confines of the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center when it hosts Big Ten foe Purdue on Sunday, Feb. 3. The match is slated for an 11 a.m. start time. Live video will be available for the contest via PlaySight at
