RICHMOND, Va. – The William & Mary baseball team will defend its conference title as the No. 3 seed in the Colonial Athletic Association Baseball Tournament. The 2017 CAA Baseball Tournament takes place at Brooks Field in Wilmington, N.C., on May 24-27.
W&M will face off against No. 6 seed Elon in the first round on Wednesday May 24 at 3 p.m. The winner of that contest meets No. 2 seed UNCW on Thursday, May 25 at 3 p.m.
The complete tournament field consist of No. 1 Northeastern (28-23, 16-7 in CAA), regular season champs, No. 2 UNCW (28-27, 16-8 in CAA), No. 3 W&M (31-23, 15-8 in CAA), No. 4 Delaware (30-21, 15-9 in CAA), No. 5 Charleston (26-29, 13-11 in CAA) and No. 6 Elon (24-30, 12-12 in CAA). W&M went 7-7 against the field in the regular season.
The Green and Gold is making its fifth consecutive postseason appearance, which is a program-best since qualifying started for the CAA Baseball Tournament. In three of its last four tournament appearances, the Tribe reached the championship game and earned a NCAA Regional berth on two of the occasions.
All-session tickets are $40 for adults and $30 for youth (ages 18 and under). Single-day passes are $20 for adults and $10 for youth. Students from participating CAA institutions are admitted free with a valid student ID. Tickets are available for purchase online at
