Emily Jeremiah Qualifies for ECACs at Fred Hardy Invitational

Richmond, Va. - The William and Mary Tribe women’s track and field team had yet another set of nice performances on Friday at the Fred Hardy Invitational at the University of Richmond.

Sophomore Emily Jeremiah qualified for the ECAC Outdoor Championships later this spring in the pole vault, winning the event at the Fred Hardy Invitational with a clearance of 12-3.5.

The Tribe once again exerted it’s dominance in the shot put on Friday, taking the top-three places. Junior Ashley Williams won the event with her mark of 43-5.25, a personal-best that moves her up to eighth place all-time at the College. Classmate Carly Morse took home second place with her throw of 43-4.5, while freshman Natalie Baird placed third with her toss of 42-5.25.

Other performances of note turned in by the College came from senior Abby Lemon and junior Dana Harvey. Harvey took second place in the 400-meter hurdles, while Lemon placed third in the hammer throw with her mark of 159-9.

The William and Mary Tribe women’s track and field team will finish up competition at the Fred Hardy Invitational on Saturday on the campus of the University of Richmond.
